Protest Gun Ban by Bringing Gun to Community Center

A man challenged the Seattle gun ban in public spaces by carrying a pistol in a holster under his black jacket into a community center. His supposed purpose was to trigger a lawsuit against the gun ban. The man, Bob Warden, sent an email to the city of Seattle and the media, announcing his intentions beforehand to let everyone know what he was doing and for what purpose.
With this announcement beforehand of what he was going to do, I would have thought this to be something pretty big. I thought that this man was serious about what he believed in and that he was going to stand for his rights. However, I watched the video embedded in the article that was a little over a minute long, and, well, he didn't do much. He was in the building for less than a minute, he did not seem to express any real emotion, he just cooperated and left the building almost as soon as he got in. Personally, I think this was a complete fail of a protest, but who knows, maybe this little one minute of action will trigger some city wide protest on the gun ban.

Well, it's not the first time someone has deliberately broken a law to bring the constitutionality of it to court (Scopes Trial). But I'm not sure if this guy is going to succeed. He didn't seem to have a plethora of support, although he did have a few bystanders, and it doesn't seem to be developing into a revolutionary news story (yet).
I am curious as to whether I will see a news story develop over this, since the claim is that the mayor's law conflicts with Second Amendment Rights (and the news generally follows court cases involving the Bill of RIghts).
But even with the Bill of Rights potentially on his side, Warden might have trouble challenging the law if part of its objective is to provide more safety, especially in light of recent events.

And here is another violent crime displayed in the united states! When this ever stope..dont people see it doesnt do anything but hurt the people around us! Its so common that this did not even appear in the news..and when things dont show up in the news we all know that it is not as important as we all thought it was. I hope that just one day thing will calm down and i hope that everything is ok.

My intent was not to cause a scene, but to gain legal standing to sue to vacate the illegal gun ban rule. I got what I needed. Sorry if it was less entertaining than what you were hoping for.
