Facebook More Like Moneybook

Facebook has become a potentially large platform for other websites to make money off of. Ever played farmville and see the "add farm coins & cash option"? Well quite a bit of people play those facebook games and actually pay for extra benefits. And those guys that created the game are making big bucks. When it's someone's birthday and you go on their wall, ever see the "gifts" thing pop out?
Facebook is becoming a huge enterprise and will probably be used as a site that involves micropayment. A lot of sites already incorporate facebook onto their own pages. After all, facebook is still a public domain. Things can be done without one knowing it. People might be able to fish out some information that others don't want leaked out.
That being said, BE CAREFUL.

There are a lot of scams occurring on Facebook as well, I don't believe Facebook does any form of rigorous background check on a lot of the advertisements. Also, a lot of good, honest developers try and get something through, they notice bugs and loopholes everywhere and tell us about it. Imagine the power the more deceptive developers would have if they keep it quiet and exploit them.

Rather, the Facebook developers don't test their API's before releasing them to the public.

Wow i knew that there were alot of spams and what not on these wwebsites and especially facebook and it did not appear to me that it would come to this point. The internet has always been a place were people to need to be becareful and this is one thing that definantley proves it. facebook and others are getting enjoyment out of it but i do agree and people do need to be more careful.

There is a section where you can buy graphics for a dollar each. An inch by inch little neat teddy bear or cake that looks much better than the "free gifts". Trust me.. people buy them.

Along with advertisements that border the sides of facebook pages, I heard a rumor that facebook takes the interests that someone posts on his/her fb profile and sells it to other companies. I'm not sure what the effect of this is, but I know it's not a coincidence that the advertisements a person sees when he/she logs into facebook are most likely companies or activities that would appeal to him/her (because of the interests posted on his/her page).
