Cell phone radiation can reverse alzheimers?

It sure can...in mice. That's right. Research and experiments at University of South Florida have shown that long-term exposure to radiation from cell phones actually reversed alzheimers in mice. Some neurologists and other experts have opinions that range from "it's possible" to "you trippin'!" (well, not in those exact words) Before you go and tell your parents that you have to have that two hour long cell phone conversation to make sure you don't get alzheimers, you might want to wait until they've actually proven this claim in humans. While it works for the mouse version of alzheimers, it may not be the same for the human version of the brain disease.

I found this article and thought it may interest some of you who love to talk on the phone. I thought that it was pretty interesting, and hopefully they do figure out something like this to help reverse and prevent alzheimers in the future.

I've also linked another version of this article and one about the gene(s) that may cause alzheimer's disease to give you guys more information if you wanted to know more.

This is really interesting. A while ago I remember hearing how the radiation from cell phones was harmful.

That would be really amazing if the technology in cell phones led to a way to fight alzheimers. It is one of the saddest diseases to see someone go through.

This article is really interesting because cell phones have been notorious for negative effects (such as radiation) and not usually known for reversing bad effects.

I think cell phones, like any other things, produce both good and bad impacts and should be used in moderation.

I really did think that this was interesting. If they can find something to help with alzhheimers that would be amazing. This is a very seriouse desiese and according to the web site http://www.nimh.nih.gov/health
From the time of diagnosis, people with alzheimers survive about half as long as those of similar age without dementia. And alzheimers is the most common cause of dementia among people age 65 and older. So this gives an out look of hope to those who have family members with alzheimers.

Well I guess if cell phone radiation was good for anything.. its changing DNA and if it can reverse something like alzheimers than double yay. ;) It could probably reverse other types of brain problems as well excluding brain injuries.

Even if breaking research does prove this to be clinically safe on humans, I'd still rather have alzheimers than radiation sickness.

Nice find, however.

Wow. That's interesting. I've always wanted to see a cure or at least reversal of Alzheimers within my lifetime, seeing as some of my relatives have mild cases of it.

There's always side effects. Nothing we do, or eat, is 100% healthy because there is always drawbacks. With something as controversial and inconclusive as this, we cannot depend on these tests with mice until we find what the radiation is causing, and its side effects.

Wasn't everyone spreading rumors (like 5 years ago) that cell phone radiation causes brain tumors? They have even talked about it until recently.
