Current economic status of people age 18-20

Today while in the car with my dad we listened to NPR. I dont usually enjoy listening to it, but over the years I have learned to live with it sometimes I tune it out. However, there is this one program they air that I do like listening to it. Its called "With a perspective". Today's topic had to do with the economic status of today's youth. Unfortunately I couldnt find the link on the website so you guys can hear it too. It basically said though, that most of our generation is staying at home because of the economic crisis. Parents cant afford to send their kids away, and the kids dont earn enough to live on their own. Also, it was saying that most of us going away to college and those that are already in college will be in a lot of debt by the time they graduate and with today's job market it will be more difficult to pay off these debts. The commentator had exact numbers and percentages, but like I said I am going off memory.

Hopefully, by the time we graduate from college, the economy will be in better shape!
