I thought obama was going to take the troops out?

Well well well,it seems Obama has decided to deploy 30000 more troops into Afghanistan. I saw this article and remembered the Obama fans telling me how ,"Obama was going to change the world in so many ways, like he's going to completely pull out our troop as soon as he gets into office" When I saw this article and read over it I laughed because when I said during the election "Hes not going to pull the troops out immediately or even within a year" I was right. anyways thats my blog for today see you tommorrow

haha i have the presidents address going playing on my tv right now and im just listening to it and this same topic was just talked about. but really, its not like Obama would have been able to remove the troops with the mess that has been cause in the Middle East in the previous years.

Yea thats what I'm saying,It was stupid of him to promise completely pulling out by any time within two years or so of his elections

Final comment, short and sweet.

I have to be honest with you Tim, anyone that blindly followed Obama's "promise" of pulling our troops out within the first few months of his presidency, is only really depriving themselves of political reality. No president and I mean NO president is going to drastically change America's current issues instantaneously. He only gave that corny speech just to get elected. If Obamanites didn't see that coming (I'm talking to you radical leftists!) you really need to grab a hold of what's practical. Plus, sending those additional 30,000 troops was the right choice. The Republicans wanted 40,000 but at least Obama sent something and the Afghans really need to start fending off for themselves now, because it has been eight+ years. It's time for them to beef up their police and military without our babysitting.

No offense, but I don't think anyone should be surprised about any president not keeping his or her word....especially regarding war

I completely agree with Andrew. I don't know how much effort is currently going into training the security forces of Afghanistan and Iraq, but if we could just get them to be strong enough to protect their own countries, we could get on out of there. Also, many of the suicide bombings and what not may be being caused by our very presence over there.
