FIRST!

For the Slashdot readers, this article should seem familiar.

This was a Russian missile test.

Who knew that a failed missile test could look so beautiful.

It would be strange if you saw one of those without knowing what it was though.

Im not too sure what that that can be, but I hope people find out. seems interesting. I suppose it really can be some sort of missile test.(???)

That was a failed missile test?! Really? I understand the theory and logic behind why a failed missile could of made such an extravagant display, but I feel there's more to it than that. Maybe it's aliens!

Anyways, why were the Russians testing missiles...

I also have the same questions as Brian. why were the russians testing missiles anyways? esspecially so close to a residential area.

Why wouldn't Russia be testing missiles..? We currently are.. it's developing new military technology... It has to get tested somehow..

And why so close to residential..? It was a FAILED test.. I don't think they could have predicted where it would go off of the predicted trajectory.. I'm sure the fact that Norwegians could see it was a mistake.

And Brian, what would be more..? Everything is accounted for..

I think it is interesting how the Russians test a missile that failed and ended up so close to residential areas. I think this shows how the next time the Russians have a missile test they should run more precaution tests or have a better safety screening test.
