Remember that girl coming home from homecoming

Here is the shiny new blog you ordered. This is kind of a continuation of the brutal homecoming blog that was put up a couple days ago. Three teenagers suspected for gang raping the 15 year old girl, were brought into court. The three teenagers were charged with rape in concert and sexual penetration with a foreign object. They were charged as adults because of the crime committed.
If your interest is still hungry, you can feed it this link, but don't let it feed too much.

Well let's hope the feed doesn't get too off-topic this time.

Glad justice is being served. Those guys deserve to be tried as adults.

That's terrible. It's a shame how people watch someone being attacked without doing anything, but I'm glad that the people who committed the crime are now facing charges. From watching the news, the criminals even wore bulletproof vests to court, scared that someone might cause harm to them, which shows crime doesn't pay.

I agree with Clinton. It is horrible for anyone to be watching a 15 year-old girl get raped but not do anything about it. They are accountable for what happened too. If they at least TRIED, they might have been able to prevent this from happening. It is good knowing that they are brought to justice. It shows that ay least something is being done about this crime.

This is just sick. A 15 year old inncocent girl was being gang raped and people were just watching and making videos of it happening. No one even tried to stop the incident or call 911. She was brutally beat and raped for 2 and half hours. Clinton you are right. Bullet proof vests...seriously.

However, because the girl wasn't 14 or younger, the people that were watching aren't going to face criminal charges. I BELIEVE that watching is as bad as doing the crime because in either situation you are inflicting harm on someone else. Many people are saying that the law should be changed in order to try those people watching but because of the ex post facto law, the watchers won't be faced with criminal charges. I find this completely unfair. Where is the justice in this? The 15 year old girl is going to have to live with the idea that the people who were watching were let go. America, where is the justice now?

Amreet, although it the first thought to arrive at, it is naive to think of it in such simple terms.

The issue for some of us is more complicated.

I can't believe people just walked past by them and didn't even report to the police! How could you not feel horrible for not calling the police?? I'm glad that they found the people who raped her and they've been arrested.

People seriously need to read the comments before they post; otherwise we end up with like ten people saying the same thing.

Such lame people. She was just 15 and people didnt even attempt to help her. Those 5 criminals got their rightful punishment by being tried as adults. Those dirty dirty boys..

I agree with Clinton. How can people just stand there and do nothing? These guys totally deserve to be tried as adults.

Here's an article about what some say is the reason this girl was attacked.

These guys NEED to get punished severely. This is because if there is a strict and harsh punishment placed on these guys then people in the future will think twice on doing such intolerable behaviors!

I wonder if the people who are against the death penalty still stand by their beliefs in this case.
