Legalizing Medical Marijuana

The Obama administration recently decided to not prosecute medical marijuana dealers, despite of its violation of federal law- as conservative George F Will said earlier today,""probably in the process now of legalizing marijuana." 14 states already do allow the use of medical marijuana. The federal government has allowed states to decide what is legal and who to prosecute.

Watch this to get a better understanding of the issue:

So many medical marijuana posts, it's getting out of control!

I think Obama is quite smart making this decision. Honestly, even if he wanted to prosecute all illegal marijuana DISPENSARIES (not dealers), legalizing marijuana is held accountable at a state level. It's sort of like legalizing gay marriages.

No kidding, the two topics that appear most often are either about flu or pot.

And like gay marriages, there is an issue of what happens when a person goes to buy pot legally from State A, and then goes to State B, where pot is illegal. That kind of state dispute is settled by the federal government.

I believe that Mona's original post dealt with public vendors, not the issue of interstate pot relations.

Ok, sounds fair. Stick with states-only.

I think this is great because recently there has been so much controversy over medical marijuana. I feel that if people need it then the dealers shouldnt be tried for giving it to them.
