Man Arrested for Forging Churchill's Signature

A 65 year-old man was arrested today for allegedly forging the signature of Winston Churchill multiple times. He has been accused of forging Winston Churchill's signature on many books and then selling them on Ebay. It is believed that he has been doing this for over 18 months, selling the books and other 'signed' items for as much as 1000% more than their original prices.

The man is currently in Hampshire at the Lyndhurst Police Station where he is being questioned. I'm surprised that people actually bought these items, believing right away that they were signed by Winston Churchill himself when reality, the buyers didn't have any evidence of the seller's credibility. Additionally, wouldn't they question the seller's access to such valuable items?
