Lady GaGa on the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy

Its the Lady Gaga, no costume, no lights, speaking  to a crowd of college students, parents with small children, teenagers and service members about  military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, calling for a repeal.

Currently in the Senate, the military authorization bill is being considered that would repeal the  policy which allows gay and bisexual people to serve as long as they do not disclose their orientation or engage in homosexual acts.

As a pop music sensation and gay herself, Lady Gaga has made it her personal mission to get this law repealed.

Theres not much to it, but i think its awsome how she is willing to personally find time and speak out. Shes like one of the most popular/famous person in the world and i bet she is very busy. Shes so smart for using her celebrity status to support something that she strongly believes in, it makes me just respect her that much more.
I think more celebrities should follow Gaga's example and do something postitive with their money/status instead of constantly getting arrested and creating drama.

"As a pop music sensation and gay herself"

I'm questioning the validity of this statement as she's dated numerous amounts of men.

I think it's really a good thing that Lady Gaga spoke out for something that she believes in.

And I agree with Jasmine about "more celebrities should follow Gaga's example and do something postitive with their money/status instead of constantly getting arrested and creating drama."

But I want to put it out there..
As most people know, she is famous for her outrageous outfits. Which have created quite a controversy, does her outfits portray that she is unique or just plain crazy? With this in mind.. how many people will actually take her seriously in this different type of light?

Suit of Meat ...protesting the "dont ask" policy...i think she probably could have picked a more fitting way of speaking out, yet nonetheless it got an enormous amount of attention, which Lady Gaga is good at doing ayways. I agree with Jasmine in the sense that i feel celebrities should do something more productive with their fame. However, I would even agree with some of the news reports labeling her as a "political force", because when someone is this famous, her actions are bound to attract attention and sometimes concern, for whatever he/she is speaking out against.

I Laughed out load, i think that lady gaga is a bit strange, but that fact that she is willing to speak out for what she believes in is a good thing. i feel that she is going to have a large impact on the bill since she is so famous and what ever the outcomes are, i feel that congress will choose the right path.
