John McCain went on SNL yesterday to get some free press close to election day and show his lighter side. Personally, I thought he did a better job than Palin did and was pretty funny. Will this change the election? Well, maybe if it acts in concert with the double-maverick plan.

I love Tina Fey as Sarah Palin. I think its interesting though that McCain went on SNL after Sarah Palin. Palin seemed to get more media coverage (more bad than good)than McCain did at one point and so it is logical that she would be asked to go on SNL becuase of the shows satirical nature. I feel like maybe this was McCain's final attempt to appeal to the youth and poke fun at himself as well as his running mate. He lost the election so his efforts were unsuccessful, but at least he had some fun with it.
