Gingrich Tests 2012 Presidential Support

Yes, you read right. This former Speaker of the House, whom we all remember as the hyperactive man from Silton's movies that we didn't really understand (just kidding), is genuinely considering to run as a Republican candidate for the Presidential Election of 2012!!!! Mr. Gingrich is forming what is called a "presidential exploratory committee", where he hires a staff and tries to fundraise and advertise himself to test the waters. And he seems to be treading quite cautiously. Even in his brief visit to Washington, he declined to talk longer to the press past a 10 minute session and a tight-lipped smile when asked whether he would definitely run for president. It's shocking to see Gingrich so quiet considering how much of a media darling he was in the early 90s when we were barely babies! Yet Gingrich seems to have learned a few things since his fall from the pinnacle of success, a fall that includes a major run-in with Clinton over budget, the government shut down in 1995, and an affair with a former aide who is now his wife. He claims that "Americans to rethink their “cultural values, institutions and policies in the poorest parts of America so every American has their creator-endowed right to pursue happiness.”and the best days of America are actually right ahead of us. However, Gingrich's declaration caused a just a little stir in interest as much of the nation is focused on budget and immigration matters.

So do you think Gingrich could potentially be the next candidate? I think not, considering that the peak of his career was 20 years ago when he retired from politics shortly after. And he came from an era that was completely different with more people becoming fed-up of centralization and big government. That image of partisanship was the image he sold, and no matter how he tries to reinvent himself, I always associate him with Old America. But hey, this is America. Here everyone changes all the time and sometimes it's for the better. And he looks much better than Palin (who will only become president if the Fundamentalists take revenge against our country by stuffing our ballot boxes). Gingrich, The bright new future of America or NAWT?
