As we are all finishing our game boards, Sarah Palin is claiming that the 150000 dollars spent on her is not hers. She says her and her family live frugally, and she wore jeans to an event in North Carolina to prove. How frugal. That move really demonstrates her claim to me. Good for you Sarah Palin.

It's all part of campaigning to have a good public image, and Palin is no exception. I'm sure all of the Presidential nominee's wives have spent thousands and thousands on clothes just like Palin, so I think is kind of unfair to rip on her about the price. I'm also sure she doesn't wear her expensive campain clothes up in freezing Alaska. I think its all a bit pointless to talk about.
So if she is claiming she didn't spend 150,000 dollars on clothes, what did she use the money for? Hair stylists? Tina Fey glasses?
I heard that $4000 was spent at one store in particular for her entire family, but that store has no recollection of anyone buying $4000 worth of stuff there, which I found hilarious. But I agree with Nick, it's all campaigning, she's trying to be relatable to all the people of America, she's just being a little stupid about how she's going about it and that's keeping it from working.

The thing is, if there was 150,000 dollars spent on clothing, and she isn't wearing them now to prove to us that she is a regular person, doesn't that seem like a waste of money? I mean the money was allready spent, she allready owns the clothing. So now she just isn't going to wear them? Wasteful. Very wasteful. Allthough I did hear that they were planning on auctioning off her clothing for charity or something like that, but what if she doesn't win? Will anyone actually want to buy the used clothing of a woman who was the V.P. candidate for someone who lost? I wouldn't. Thoughts?
Aimee, maybe people will buy the used clothes of a "hot politician", not "the woman who lost the VP office". Hahaha. -_-
Yeah, I really don't know how wearing jeans proves she's frugal. Everyone has casual clothes & nice clothes. Of course she's going to dress up for public appearances... It's not a huge deal, in my opinion.
This amdae me laugh. I also have to wonder where that money did go, if not to clothes, and, although it seems a lot like hearsay, I was amused by what Kimiya said. I think that Palin was a little naive to think that wearing suddenly wearing jeans for a day will solve this little issue she is having. Although we don't want our political leaders to spend tons of money on material things, we also want them to present themselves in a certain way. It goes back to the idea that the American people want their leaders to be superman and every man. That said, I don't know that I like the idea of Palin as our "leader" regardless of how much she spends on clothes.
yeah they were probably 7s of something. 0_o
