Leaving on a Fun Note

I just watched the SNL skit that ana posted...pretty darn funny. especially with palin's answers and use of the word "maverick" as an explanation. anyways here's some funny cartoons i found to round up the week...

hmmm...i do think that there is truth to this cartoon. it seems as if the media is picking on palin a little more than they are biden, but then again, palin's giving quite a bit of parody material.

Those political cartoons were quite hilarious, you go Sarah! Anyway, in response to the first cartoon, I think the media has kept Palin on such close watch because she has been an easy target for them to attack since she is somewhat inexperienced when it comes to politics. Also, news stations, magazines, and radio stations want fame and they know what many Americans want...they want to see Palin humiliated. Not many people want to see the media make a fool of Biden, but they do want to see the media embarass the cute and "sweet" governor from Alaska. Supply and demand people, supply and demand. (sorry I could not refrain..)

Also, many people turn to SNL for a weekly summary of the happenings of the political campaigns because it is obviously much more entertaining than watching CNN. However, SNL's interpretations can't be completely trusted because the show is obviously biased...instead people should look to credible news stations for information and SNL for laughs. :)

I think that it's true that people had very low expectations for how Palin would do in the VP debate, but I think that it was kind of an advantage, since if she went above the viewers expectations, then they would think that she did very well.
