SNL's VP Debate

For any of you who missed SNL here is the clip they did on the VP debate. I thought it was pretty funny, although not as good as the Couric and Palin interview. SNL didn't seem biased to me because they made fun of Biden and Palin equally. I am knida sad that they didn't do anything on how Sarah Palin says "nuclear" or how she said "straight up" during the debate.

Oh, I loved it when Palin kept saying "straight up". It was hilarious.

"I am going to be straight up with the American people."

Uh huh, are you going to keep it gangster too?

Alright, alright, all jokes aside, Palin did pretty decently all things considered... She stumbled a few times, but she didn't crumble. To be fair, Biden stumbled too.

I was looking foward to Fey saying "Now there you go again Joeeeeeeee"

But she never said it.

Shame.

I thought that this skit was hilarious. I loved how Biden kept repeating his statistics, and how Palin didn't answer any of the questions. I also like when "Gwen" explained that everyone should call the debate a tie because Palin didn't faint or die...

On a more serious note I think that these SNL skits may actually hurt Palin's chances. While the skit did not make me not want to vote for Biden, it actually did make me not want to vote for Palin. While the skit pokes fun at Biden, it portrays Palin as someone who severely lacks intelligence.

I was surprized to see Queen Latifah playing as Gwen Ifill and I must say, that was good casting on SNL's part.

Tina Fey's "winks" were so well placed I was in stitches laughing.

In response to Kate's post, I must agree that her use of "straight up" and "you betcha's" makes her sounds extremely unprofessional. I don't see how any of those phrases could help her in the long run.
