Tyler Clementi Story

Tyler Clementi grew up in Ridgewood, NJ and was a freshman on Rutgers' Piscataway campus. Clementi committed suicide by last week by jumping off of the George Washington Bridge after a fellow student posted a video online for the entire world to see him kissing another man. Clementi was being secretly videotaped by Dharun Ravi and his friend Molly Wei who also attended the school. Clementi asked his room mate Ravi to give him the room for the night, and when Ravi left he quickly signed in through Skype to a webcam using Molly Wei's computer. They are both charged with at least two counts of invasion of privacy (which is subject to change), one for the first video, and the second for an attempt to record another encounter and can face up to five years in prison if convicted. Clementi was a very talented musician and had a passion for the violin. His last words were on Facebook when he updated his status as "Jumping off the gw bridge sorry". It is such a tragic story to hear that such a talented musician jumped to his death, but also the fact that someone would even humiliate him like that. I would just hope nothing like this would ever happen at Aragon.
