Christine O'Donnell: Does she think we were born yesterday?

It was just recently revealed that Christine O'Donnell, the already - infamous politician these days (the fun - to laugh at Sarah Palin - esque figure) "fudged" about her educational status and achievements.  She was found a liar on both counts: primarily that she did NOT take any graduate courses whatsoever at Princeton University and also, she didn't go to the University of Oxford, but to the Phoenix Institute to study political science.

First of all, why "fudge" at all in this day and age, since of course, everyone is going to find out sooner or later...????!!!! And also, what does this reveal about our politicians these days? How can we trust those in power when they don't put their right foot forward and treat us as if we were born yesterday...

Ms. O'Donnell's actions makes her a joke and I don't believe the publicity is good publicity and good media-attention.  If she wanted taht, she could've just auditioned to be on Jersey Shore...but this is politics! This is the real world, Christine! The part that really gets me is that our politicians these days are so centered on being powerful and influential, without anything to show for it.  She is a joke and should be treated as one...Where did the real people with real values go? She also does a double injustice by putting other colleges down, the fact that she feels ashamed of her real education that she has to lie about it and mask the truth reveals her insecurities as a person, and these days, in any political position, we need level - headed, smart and strategic people with human beings being their focus.  Not a scandalous show and front page of a tabloid - kind of campaign...

wow!!! no surprise here!! another politician who lies about who she is and what she has done!!!
I agree with you Alex in that most politicians tend to think that they can be powerful and influential without proving who they really are and what they've done!!
It's time for TRUTHFUL politicians to show up once and for all!! I'm so sick of all their lies and promises that they do NOT keep!!

I definately agree with Alex. Why does she need to lie when she knows she'll get found out eventually? That's plain stupid on her part, no offense. But I guess lying is sometimes a way to get by things. I'm sure there are a lot of people who lie about things and take the easy way out without getting caught. But this shouldn't be promoted, and even though people might get away with it temporarily, they most likely WILL get caught eventually. If tjeu do get away with it, however, it's not like it does you any good. Stop getting the easy way out in life, they'll keep thinking that and mess up their lives in another way. Ultiamtely, lying is probably not he best idea to do. Better be truthful than to lie, because although O'Donnell might not have gotten as good of a job without lying, at least she would be working elsewhere without a forever tarnished record.
