In an interview Sarah Palin had with "100 Huntley Street" talk show in Canada, Palin ultimately admitted towards pursuing a "presidential bid" in 2012, if it is the best way to help people with everyday challenges.
This was a rare moment because it was one of the few times that Palin has openly talked about running for 2012. Only one another time in February did she mention to Fox News that it would be "absurd" to not consider running for the presidency. She also has explained that it has been an "exciting and full ride" since the election in 2008.
I do not know if I should be surprised with this story mostly because it is obvious that Palin loves the spotlight. But does she really believe she would be able to acquire the many votes needed to become the president? Even though we are still two and a half years away from 2012, it still sparks a question of whether there are many Republican front runners. I currently have not seen very many. The only that I can think of at the top of my head is Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Mark Sanford.
Well what do you guys think? Do you think for Palin this is mostly just a publicity stunt? I for sure believe that she will run and appear to take it seriously, but can she honestly think she will win? Even more, waste that much money? The fact that she even said that basically being president would help people with everyday issues, seems so juvenile and so simple. Obviously presidents and candidates want to help the people with everyday challenges, what else do you have to say? Maybe it is way too early to be talking about this, but Palin seems to be full charge ahead on this issue which is kind of scary...

I'm a little tired about hearing so much about Sarah Palin on the news. Sometimes, I really do feel like she's just trying to get everyone's attention. As for running in the 2012 elections, yeah her name will probably come up and she'll make a good effort to put herself up as one of the nominees. Obviously she has to take it seriously, I can't imagine anyone who would commit so much to the election and not take it seriously. My prediction is that she will not win the Republican Party nomination and will be beat out by another more-qualified candidate.
Hmm. Interesting you should say. Although the general public still recognizes Palin as some dumb brunette (although this can still be argued to some extent), I think she has become a more educated person since the election in 2008. If she really does run for reelection in 2012, we'll really have to listen to her statements.
Even if her knowledge has matured since 2008, I do not think i can trust her with the nation.
While a year ago I would have considered Palin's actions pure stupidity, I think she has justification to run for office now. Palin stands at the front of this new Tea Party movement. I doubt that anyone believes she could actually win 2012. However, I am not sure that really matters. Her run for office might be more of a political move for the Tea Party than an actual attempt at the presidency.
While I do not agree with the beliefs of either the Tea Party or Palin, they have their right to take part in this game we call American politics. A Palin 2012 bid might just be their first major move.

The Tea party energizes the conservative base, but it also alienates the moderate Republicans. Palin has only established credibility within the tea party coalition, but lacks the trust of just about everyone else. She and the wayward tea party might end up being the toxic asset that the GOP does not need.
I don't see much improvement in her. But, then again, it's from MSNBC, the liberal counterpart of Fox news.

I think this is pretty interesting. In my opinion most people do not treat Palin as a serious candidate, even if she is running. I believe she should go for a more serious approach and think carefully before she speaks to be considered for a potential candidate that would have a chance of winning.
I believe this is a publicity stunt. If Palin was serious about running for president, she would have been talking about it all along and not just bringing it up now. Even if Palin ended up becoming a presidential nominee for the 2012 elections, she does not have the trust of the American people and I do not think she would win. So, there is nothing to worry about.
