7.2 Earthquake hits Baja, CA, MX. It was felt as far north as Santa Barbara as well as in Arizona. I hope anyone who is visiting colleges in that area are okay, thankfully there are no reports of major damage or injury...
The Los Angeles Fire Dept are on "earthquake status" and hopefully the quake ends here and does not hit anywhere else. (SoCal is so close! I hope everyone is okay! :/ )

This is very very scary!!! I hope everyone is okay too! It is no fun being in an earth quake with the ground rumbling beneath your feet...
I honestly did not notice and I was farther south of CA too. Maybe because I was in the car. ;/
interesting how businesses react to these events.
case 1 -my girlfriend was going to spend her spring break volunteering to make schools for poor children right across the border, and had payed 600$ to go and mix cement from 6:30AM -4pm / and cook meals in a kitchen from then to dusk every day......
case 2 -my friend prithy from San Mateo High was going to go on a 5 day cruise leaving from san diego going south with his schools band -anyone who signed up at least....and perform there twice a day every day. the band members each still had to pay 800$ for a cruise....which on a carnival line is not at all much of a discounted rate for the work they were to do (kids being taken advantage of...)
earthquake happens -magnitude 6.9 later decided that it was 7.2 and finally corrected to be 7.3
case 1 the trip was cancelled and money fully refunded for the safety of the students.
case 2 cruise went along as planned, with no concern for possible tsunamis or further earthquakes.....who cares if the ship sinks, carnival has insurance......god save them if they have to give up 1 weeks worth of profits on just one of their ships for the safety of the passengers..
There seems to be so many earthquakes these days. A lot of people are saying how San Fransisco is going to have a huge earthquake soon!BE AWARE!
I guess 2010 is the year of the earthquakes? I really hope they don't start moving north towards the Bay Area.
