KFC Launches All-Meat Sandwich

On April 12th, KFC plans to release their "Double Down sandwich." This sandwich is so controversial that they felt compelled to assure their customers that this product was actually real and not an April Fools' Day prank. The Double Down features bacon =) and Monterey Jack cheese that's surrounded by two fried chicken fillets rather than a bun. KFC describes it as "so meaty, there's no room for a bun!"

According to KFC.com, which has a countdown to the launching of the Double Down, the sandwich is available with Original Recipe chicken or original chicken. The grilled option provides fewer calories and less fat than the Original (which has 540 calories and 32 grams of fat), but also a whopping 1430 grams of sodium -- more than half of the U.S.Department of Agriculture’s recommended daily allowance.

Fast food places come up with the craziest ideas sometimes. i feel like they're inconsiderate of peoples' healths. yea, they're doing to make money but there's a limit on how fattening foods should be. Not only is it just KFC but places around the world try to intertwine healthy foods and unhealthy foods together for some reason. it's just not a good idea. if you take a look at this website right here, some of the ideas are just beyond crazy... and fattening

Wow..Yeah.. no wonder people from other countries think of cheeseburgers and fat people when they think of America. Now that I think about it...when my grandma came from Japan to visit, one of the first things we did was take her to In-n-out burger. D;

I really hope our government looks into this All-meat "Double Down Sandwich" because like Katrina said..it has more than half of the U.S.Department of Agriculture’s recommended daily allowance( of sodium). I really do think it is the governments responsibility to inform Americans the healthy way to eat in order to stop people from being obese and developing diabetes as well.

Well, KFC is around the world now if I am correct. Do other countries put regulations on these fast food countries and what products they can offer though? I know that in China McDonalds serves rice in their burgers. Maybe its just based on their countries preference. I think that they should be allowed to introduce the "Double Down Sandwich" however be required to tell people exactly how much sodium is in it and hope people will make the right choice.

What a unhealthy lookign sandwich we got here!!! This is the reason why americans are so fat!! They eat these fatty foods all the time and get fat. THey should stop.
HOwever, i should not be talking. I love fast food cause it tastes good and it is cheep. Many people will probably agree with me.
But seriously, people should eat in moderation. THey can enjoy these foods, but they should know when enough is enough. Or else, they will end up quite tubby.

Its easier for many people to just get up and exercise than to watch their diets......if you're gunna eat unhealthy foods, the negative effects are significantly reduced if you participate in 30 minutes of aerobic exercise 3 or more days a week. this is recommended whether or not you eat healthy, and in any case, the people who are obese in america usually dont exercise at all.....i think that they'd stay obese if they started eating at whole foods rather than mcdonalds, whereas the weigh would be shredded with a regular cardio exercise plan. if you're talking about obesity, this is the answer...if you're talking about long term health, well skinny people will get clogged arteries and heart attacks just like obese people from fast food diets.

Wow this is crazy! Amazing what people do with these crazy ideas! I believe that the fast food places are being inconsiderate and something does need to be done about it. I really hope that someone does take a look at all these thing and does something about it.I hope that we can get a bad message away of fast food than good. KFC and any other fast food resturants can come up with so many healthier options and still make money!!!

This is so gross. This is the reason why there are so many obese people in America. Like Victor said, if you choose to eat unhealthy, perhaps you should take exercising into consideration. This way, you can stay in shape and not have to worry as much about what you are eating. KFC also should be the one to blame. They shouldn't make food this unhealthy. Creating a sandwich that is '"so meaty, there's no room for a bun!"'? This seems tempting to people who love fast food to everyone.

This makes me want to vomit.

However, I think that KFC should be allowed to do this if they really want to. If people don't buy it because it's disgusting and fattening, it will eventually disappear. Regulating fast food because stupid people can't make good decisions isn't really helping anyone. It's not like it's being sneaky; it's bacon, cheese and fried chicken. You'd have to be living under a rock to think that that wouldn't kill you.

This is kind of gross. I really hope people make good decisions on their eating habits. After all, the movie and book called "Fast Food Nation" did effect McDonald's customers. I feel like there should be a document on all types of fast food places.
