Is Capitalism A Sin?

I don't think so, but I'm interested in what Micheal Moore thinks. I was watching the television and a commercial for Capitalism: A Love Story (2009) came on. I think it might be an interesting documentary to watch.

Sounds like a pretty interesting movie. We should watch it for Econ!

An occasional random thing you find interesting is nice, but where are the actual opinion discussion posts?

I don't look forward to seeing this at all. Michael Moore is one of the most radical, unreasonable, and close to illogical socialists on Earth. His views are without a doubt skewed to the extremes, and yes I do agree, capitalism CAN be outright disgusting, but, as Mr. Silton said in class, yelling at AIG employees is in no way trying to redefine American culture or to even prove an attempted point, if that. I would call him a communist but Ilan and Mr. Silton would breath fire down my throat ;)

Ilan: Sorry I don't meet your demand for more opinionated posts.

I'm actually looking forward to this movie. Everyone needs a good laugh occasionally, even if I don't agree with Michael Moore.

C&P Reference!: "And economic truth adds that the more properly arranged personal affairs and, so to speak, whole caftans there are in society, the firmer its foundations are and the better arranged its common cause. It follows that by acquiring solely and exclusively for myself, I am thereby precisely acquiring for everyone, as it were, and working so that my neighbor will have something more than a torn caftan, not from private, isolated generosities now, but as a result of universal prosperity. A simple thought, which unfortunately has been too long in coming, overshadowed by rapturousness and dreaminess, though it seems it would not take much wit to realize" (149). Crime and Punishment, Fyodor Dostoevsky. Apparently Luzhin thinks not, although, his logic is questionable...
