Andy Rooney

Andy Rooney had his last 60 Minutes clip today. He is ninety-two. I think of this man as one of the smartest, logical, rhetorical and cynical men I have ever seen on television. He is renowned for his straightforward clear thinking that so many of us can relate to. He, I feel, has as much influence on people as many large public figures from senators. People would turn on sixty minutes just to watch his five minute segment. Tonight he said that "he is and always will be a writer, and a writers' job is to write and say the thoughts of the public". And in typical Rooney fashion he ended with a cynical remark that we all enjoy. He has has a wonderful career that was as influential as funny. Thank you Andy Rooney.
