Bush's new estate

So after Bush finishes his final term and is "evicted" from his White House commode, he will move back to his native Texas. He recently bought a new house in Preston Hollow's, a street in Dallas, Texas.

The street however, will soon have a very tight security. The Secret Service will be posted around the street 24/7 and gates will be installed around the perimeter of the street to insure the safety of the ex-president. Although the gates will be funded by Bush himself, the Service is not.

Personally, I'd feel honored to have a president living on my street, regardless of how bad/good he was in office. Luckily, none of his rich neighbors had any problems with him making the street a fortress.

My aunt currently lives in Dallas, Texas and she and her friends are pretty annoyed that Bush is coming to live there. I also heard rumors that Cheney was thinking about moving to Dallas, Texas too. Maybe he and Bush will become neighbors or something.Personally, I would not want Bush to come and live on my street if I had to endure all the nonsense with reporters etc.. But I am glad he has some friends left in Texas at least.

Oh good. He has the secret service following him around for like the rest of his life. He needs them (no offense), especially since our country is not particularly happy with the way he served his office. It's all good for him, he can just retire with his wife in a huge estate protected by the secret service leaving Obama with the mess he made. Lucky him.

I agree with Sam Law...the secret service is a bit unnecessary, especially since we need more protection for the REAL president. However, I don't think that Bush actually needs them...he may be unpopular and all but I doubt anyone would actually try to harm him. Then again, it's Texas and everyone has guns in Texas...and if Cheney decides to move into the neighborhood, Mr. Bush better keep his eyes open...he might just be mistaken for a duck during one of Cheney's latest hunting trips.
