Zionism?!?

This article might be of particular interest to Jewish students. It opens with an examination of how younger Jewish Americans are less inclined to support Israel than previous generations, and proceeds to argue that the "Jewish establishment" has failed to see the forest for the trees, in general.

I think it is completely fine to be a Jew, and stay quiet about it. it ism fine to be absolutely any race, or religion and be completely silent about it. In fact, i think it is just better that way...but that is just me personally. I never even consider anything about race, or religion in conversation or thought. People to me are just people, and they really shouldnt have to talk about being a christian, or a Jew or a hindu if they didnt want to.

I find the whole concept of Zionism and the conflict from that a little absurd. All three groups fighting over the same small stretch of desert all cite the same god saying the same thing to the same guy when they were all the same group as reason for why they should have it.

I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but:
1. It's not a particularly attractive or desirable piece of real estate, holy land or no. It's a desert for goodness sake!
And 2. The discrimination and stereotyping sponsored by the Israeli government seems quite hypocritical in light of the circumstances of its creation.
