Tibet and China, Whats your stance?

Tibet and China's tensions has passed the 50year mark just yesterday. I think that Tibet is part of China still and that they should end its peaceful rebellion. Fact: No country in the world supports Tibet independence. And I do not know why people wish to see it be that way. For example during the Civil War, America split in two, and instead of letting the South go free, we went to war to liberate. I do not see anything wrong with China trying to make the Tibetians into submission and keeping the part of the country that is technically still theirs. What do you guys think? I want to know why some of you people support independence for them.
