The irony? The music in Rick Perry's commercial is a tacky knock-off of openly gay composer Aaron Copland's suite Appalachian Spring. Copland was also accused of communism several times.
Way to stand by your conservative values, Perry. To quote the man himself, "Oops."
There was also something going around tumblr about how Rick Perry was wearing the exact same coat that Heath Ledger wore in Brokeback Mountain...coincidence? :)
