Interesting Conspiracy Theory- New World Order

Having written my research paper on causes and effects of conspiracy theories, I came across this video. The video displays the typical topics presented by the New World Order conspiracists. I thought of this video after my last post, talking about the grip that the media has on society, in general. Perhaps the theory is a rather radical viewpoint of government, it certainly holds some truth within itself.

The commentator comments on the fact that our society is being bombarded by the media at every moment. Yet, our country's education ratings are plummeting downward. Why? If it is the government's interest to educate the people (public schools), they would educate them correctly. In other words, if the government isn't getting the results that it wants, it should change it's strategy towards education. However, it hasn't made drastic changes.

Though I am writing a post on this widely circulating theory, do not think that I believe in it. I simply think that the theory contains some interesting explanations.

Our government deffinatley has some corrupt aspects to it (in my personal opinion) but i feel that this guy is at the least to say paranoid. He really starts to loose me when he starts talking about how our country was built on a foundation of lies and how 9/11 was a lie, and yadda yaadda yadda. Furthermore there will never be a "North American Union" thats the biggest load of crap ever. It's very hard for me to believe that our whole government, who is raised on liberty and justice (some may begin to stray from that path, but most) would come up, and support such a conspiracy as this.

People are always trying to point the finger and blame others, in this case, the government. Trying to make sense of what has happen by trying to make a conspiracy story bt twisting the facts.
But the media does have a part in it, I think. The media seems to place fear into Americans, which that fear becomes a made up story to blame the government and people start to catch on to it and start to believe it.
Theres a movie we watched in law and society where they talked about the news always making people fearful. One story was way back in the day, where they said that escalators were evil. REALLY?
Where do they come up with this kind of news?

You are all right. We should trust our government at least enough to know that that kind of stuff is highly unlikely. And we can't believe everything in the media. Even when a piece of news is true, how it is portrayed to us may make us percieve it incorrectly. The media does cause fear and make people overrreact, and that's when conspiracy theories start to develop.

This is kind of outrageous and I agree with sortwell that a conspiracy like this could have happened. It is interesting to watch and learn about but quite shocking too. The blame does not always have to be on someone too.

I agree with Sterling. Although I'm sure there are government conspiracies, this one is very drastic... and maybe a little too out there to be believable. I researched Pearl Harbor for my term paper last year, and it turns out FDR knew about the attack to a certain extent before it happened. There's also speculation about whether the 9/11 attack was staged. This, although still very skeptical, is more believable than a New World Order... I'm not saying that it's not possible, but it's not very likely.
