Biden's remarks about travel seem to have earned him a bit more than just ridicule...

Soon after Biden's remarks on the Today Show, it was announced that he's headed off to Bosnia, Serbia, Kosovo, and Herzegovina, "meet with the political leadership in all three countries, as well as U.S. officials and military personnel stationed in the region". Actually that was announced the day after. Pretty obviously damage control "banishment", so obvious that it's pretty funny. Just let him head off for a while while we forget about stupid things and by the time he's back we'll be freaking out about something else.

Biden's actions are making Sarah Palin look pretty good right about now, that's all I have to say. But I definitely agree that his "trip" to foreign countries is coming at a rather convenient time. The White House doesn't want anymore clean-up duty, and it certainly doesn't want their VP to scare the public any more about the flu. Let's just hope that Biden doesn't make another misstep while he's away. Damage control would be kind of difficult in Bosnia.

Well, i think he said something that any American would have say, but not on television. I actually expect more from Joey the shark. But don't compare him TO Sarah Palin, that is too much. She is simply out of this world.

I don't see what he did wrong.

Who the hell wouldn't advise against travel in confined spaces knowing full well that a potentially dangerous outbreak of influenza is moving quickly? This is protecting those thinking about traveling, and the people here who could get the disease when those travelers return.

Although I have to admit, it is pretty ironic that he traveled the very next day :)
