Trump has been doing many things that affect Americans in ways of language laws for truck drivers, immigration, and policymaking. His ongoing goal of making English the official language and keeping minorities out keeps expanding.
First, the language laws for truck drivers or commercial drivers are being tightened down even more. The Trump Administration claims there's a lot of miscommunication with truck drivers, and that it's nearly common sense for the safety of Americans. Even though this is already a law in place. Since 2001, drivers with a commercial license have to be able to write English and read English, In addition to understanding traffic signals and signs. It’s really not clear how many truck drivers do speak English but Trump has enforced that if the truck drivers are not fluent in English they are now considered out of service or out of their job, which could influence many Americans. Such as people who have jobs that are just not proficient or fluent in English even if they’re still capable drivers and have pasted the Initial test to get their CDL. The order reads, “Proficiency in English … should be a non-negotiable safety requirement for professional drivers.” It's crazy because this is already something implemented by a previous law. Trump is just trying to push out as many immigrants or not white people as he can, through strange roots.
I don't know how Trump would enforce this or test the drivers even more, but it seems like a lot of people could be out of work. Even when they already have to be able to read signs etc.
In addition, Trump is affecting sanctuary cities by placing a new executive order to cut funding for these cities. Trump has been claiming that these cities are protecting criminals and that it's an endangerment to US citizens. Even though multiple sources have stated, no correlation between sanctuary cities and increased crime rates. The people who are in charge in the sanctuary cities claim that their communities are generally safer, because immigrants who live there feel like they can work and or communicate with the local police because there is no great fear of being deported so they are more honest. These cities are trying to protect immigrants by having their local police force not work with ICE. But Trump wants to end this, he claims that these cities are going against federal law he wants to cut funding to the cities unless the police comply with what he wants. Ever since Trump has been in office, he has been trying to deal with immigrants, and this executive order is just another way to do that in increasing law enforcement activity in deporting illegal immigrants. This really seems never ending. In San Francisco, this has caused a big commotion as they are claiming it's unconstitutional to deny Federal funding to these cities. This could affect so many people who are adding to America and harm so many families, I wonder what will happen next.

Not sure if it's a technological issue on my end or the way in which the blog was uploaded but your sentences get cut off on the right. Either way, his attack on sanctuary cities goes against one of his fundamental values of "returning more freedom to the states" and "leaving decisions up to the states to decide", highlighting that he only employs that value when he finds it politically convenient, such as to escape the backlash from his terrible view of abortion laws in this country. Trump is inconsistent in his political messaging and inconsistent in his style of governing because he doesn't actually care about democracy, or any American, he just wants to kick the immigrants out (which is horrible for our economy and our communities).

I agree that Trump’s new rules on truck drivers and sanctuary cities are raising serious concerns. The English fluency requirement for truck drivers feels like an unnecessary move to push out immigrants, especially since they’ve already been required to understand signs. Meanwhile, his push to cut funding from sanctuary cities just targets communities that support immigrants, even though these cities actually have lower crime rates. It seems like Trump’s policies are more about attacking immigrant communities than improving safety and helping the economy.
This is such a frustrating situation. The whole English fluency requirement for truck drivers seems unnecessary and like an excuse to push out immigrants. The current law already ensure safety, so why target workers who are qualified? As for sanctuary cities, cutting funding won't reduce crime. These cities are safer because immigrants can cooperate with police without fear of deportation. It's disappointing to see policies that harm families and communities just to push an agenda.
I feel the 2001 language law for truck drivers or commercial drivers was sufficient in preventing miscommunication and ensuring safety. It seemed reasonable, unlike Trump's new enforcement. This new requirement would put many out of their jobs, hurting many individuals and families. I understand the concern of miscommunication, but realistically proficiency and fluency is unreasonable for some, especially if they have to accomplish this in a short time to keep their jobs. These policies seem like a new way to target minorities and immigrants. President Trump’s push for stricter language rules for truck drivers is unnecessary, because while it is understandable that commercial drivers should know some English for safety purposes, they are already required to understand English at some level to pass their tests, so these restrictions take jobs away from qualified people.
These policies seem so unnecessary and are just an excuse to pick on immigrants. I understand that in terms of safety, truck drivers should know at least partial English, I still think this policy seems really unnecessary. These policies could make it harder for many people to get jobs as well and that will impact so many people who may need these jobs to support their families.
The newly proposed requirements for truck drivers to have english proficiency just seems like a way to harm immigrants and limit their access to jobs. It seems like there's not concrete reasons for the change in policy, because there weren't really problems arising from the old one, where truck drivers could travel and communicate just fine for their job.
